TV stars join in the fun on St Patrick’s Night in Levenshulme

Irish Shameless star Ciaran Griffiths who plays Mickey Maguire in the award winning Channel 4 TV series is pictured here with Ben Krnjulac m19's bar promotions manager. Also seen enjoying the craic was Levenshulme born British lightweight champion John Murray who popped along to enjoy the party with friends at the bar which his favourite local in the area.

Ben said "It was great to see John out again in the bar, he always pops in when he's not training for a fight. But I was not expecting to see Ciaran Griffiths, seeing him call into the village for the party just made the night for me, I am a big fan of his character on the hit TV series."

Levenshulme has become something of a media haven with Coronation Street stars seen regularly drinking in the Union Irish bar which is next door to M19 and a number of Soap stars now live in the area. Coronation Streets latest character Dave Bonsall is playede by actor and Irish singer Kieran Cunningham who is a regular performer at the Union. Kieran plays an Adult Education Officer in the soap who employs John Stape (Graeme Hawley), Graeme has also recently brought a house in Levenshulme.
