Mulligans of Deansgate to host Festival Press Launch
One of the main sponsors of this years Manchester Irish Festival - Mulligans of Deansgate, will be hosting this years Press launch on Wednesday 24 Febrauary. The manager of the bar Gena Rose a native of Donegal said “We are delighted to hold this special evening for the press, sponsors and VIPs and are really looking forward to this years festival. The bar is also sponsoring the Mulligans Marquee which will be erected in Albert Square outside Manchester Town Hall for the whole of the St Patricks weekend from Friday 12 March until Sunday 14 March”.
The special event will feature the launch of the festivals brochure and brand new website which is currently ranked as number one in the world for Irish Festivals. Entertainment on the night comes from Coronation Streets new actor Kieran Cunningham and his band Quare Craic. Kieran has just filmed six episodes for the famous TV soap and will be making his broadcast debut on the 12 March. Watch out for his famous celebrity friends who he has promised to bring along if filming commitments allow.
Other entertainment includes dancers from the Keegan Kennedy School of Irish Dancing and the award winning Young, Gifted and Green dance troupe. Plus the newly crowned world champion accordion player Sean Scally and his brother Donal.
Visitors will be treated to a real taste of Ireland with a few drops of the best pint of Guinness in Manchester and freshly prepared Irish Stew.
The launch starts at 5.30pm and goes onto 7pm, but is for invited members of the media and invited guests only.
