Toss the Feathers reunite for Annual Christmas gigs
Toss the Feathers are delighted to announce their annual return to St Kentigern’s Irish Club in Fallowfield for their annual ‘Christmas knees up’ gigs on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th December!. Support for these two very special concerts comes from the Manchester’s new traditional super group ‘Shake the Barley’.
The band enjoyed huge success in the 90's selling out the 2,000 capacity Apollo and numerous sell out shows at the 1,000 capacity ‘Palace Nightclub’. Since officially splitting as a full time band to pursue individual projects over fifteen years ago, they still find time to reunite once a year to entertain their home town fans every Xmas.
The multi award winning Flautist and Piper MICHAEL MCGOLDRICK has just returned from a European tour with MARK KNOPFLER and BOB DYLAN. Whilst award winning fiddler DEZI DONNELLY, has once again been busy touring the world with Sharon Shannon. He has just been asked to perform at the New Zealand International Arts Festival and tour Australia in the New Year so its busy times for the 'Tossers' as they are affectingly known!
Welcoming back on Vocals and guitar and travelling over from Co Carlow for the two nights to remember is Eddie Sheehan who now lives in Ireland with his family but travels over every year to Manchester to perform with the rest of the lads at what promises to be another great night!
“I love coming back! Its great to see all the old faces.sing a few songs have a few jars and meet up with the lads” said Eddie.
