Manchester to launch Tradfest in Breaffy House Resort in Mayo
Breaffy House Resort in the heart of Castlebar will host a VIP party to launch this 2018 Mayo Manchester Tradfest.
Manchester United’s Voice of Old Trafford, Mr Alan Keegan will be amongst the VIPs attending the party in the award winning Healy Mac’s Bar.

Entertainment on the night includes The Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band who this year are celebrating their 70th anniversary. Also performing on the night is Joe Keegan from the hit BBC TV show The Voice. The Irish Singer, Songwriter and Dancer who shot to fame on the show with his song ‘Pick Myself Up’, has over 30,000 followers on Twitter and has just released his debut album see www.joekeegan.com Special guests on the night include Ireland’s Premier download Irish Country singer Sina Theil www.sinatheil.com who is on a mission to put the Rock into Country Music, last year’s charity single to support Mayo GAA’s quest for Sam ‘Sams Coming Home’ for Childhood Cancer Charity ‘Gearoid’s Smile’ was a major success as was her re-working of ‘Galway Girl’ to turn it into ‘Mayo’s Girl’ received over 91,000 hits. The Mayo Manchester Tradfest is now in its sixth year and has already won Tourism Ireland’s Gathering of the Year and the International Mayo Award of the Year. It helps attract over 50,000 visitors to the area with over 100 events being staged by over 500 performers.
The festival runs from Thursday 2 August to Wednesday 8 August in Mayo, the main events are as follows:
Thursday 2 August
Live 2 Hour Radio broadcast across the globe by Midwest Radio at the Fr Peyton Centre in Attymass from 6pm-8pm. The broadcast will feature a host of award winning Irish Musicians, Singers and Dancers.

The concert hosted by Alan Keegan from Manchester United Football Club features: The Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band, Joe Keegan from the BBC TV show The Voice, representing Mayo's Premier Irish Dancing talent are The Jiving Juniors as seen on RTE TV Late Late Show, The Turley Duggan Academy of Irish Dancing and The Murphy Moore Academy of Irish Dancing.
