Manchester Irish Festival host debut concert for new Irish Dance Troupe.

This year’s Manchester Irish Festival and Young, Gifted & Green will host the launch night for a brand new Irish Dance troupe called ‘The Reel Deal Irish Dance Group’.

The dancers will perform a two hour intimate concert in the upstairs function suite of the newly refurbished m19 bar in Levenshulme village on Saturday 10th March.

The troupe of young dancers has been formed by James Hackland the former founder and manager of ‘Reel Rhythm’ dance group and a founder member of the award winning ‘Young, Gifted & Green’.

The troupe of dancers many of whom are original members of the internationally famous ‘Young, Gifted & Green’ will perform the concert with festival favourites ‘Shake the Barley’.

The concert is part of the Manchester-Mayo weekend which is celebrating links between Manchester and Mayo, whilst at the same time promoting tourism back home in Mayo. It is being supported by the Levenshulme Pub Company, Guinness and www.mayo.ie

Tony Hennigan from the Manchester-Mayo Tourism and Business group said “We are delighted that James has got involved in the weekend and has selected the night to officially launch the group. James and a number of the dancers and musicians on the night have roots in the West of Ireland. It is great to see them promoting Irish culture and continuing to develop links between the two areas.”

Tickets are very limited and are priced just £5 in advance, they are available from James on 07856643015 or from www.skiddle.com
