Manchester Irish Festival Award nominee is to star in international Musical.
Irish Singer songwriter, Ged Graham is returning to Manchester on Sunday 12th February to appear in the hit international music concert – American Anthems.
The special concert takes place at the Opera House in the city centre. Ged stars as Chad Roadking the narrator of the show.
Ged who lives in Stockport has recently toured the UK with the critically acclaimed Essence of Ireland and will be joining the production team as they receive the prestigious Pride of Eireann Award for ‘Best Touring Show’. Previous award winners in this category include Brendan O’Carroll (Mrs Brown’s Boys). The award ceremony takes place on 17th March in Manchester.
When asked about his appearance in the show he replied ‘I am delighted and excited to be returning to The Manchester Opera House and playing my home town on the UK leg of this tour. I have been touring constantly over the past few years and this is the first time I have had the pleasure of playing a home town show in a very, very long time.’
The show features some of the UK’s finest musicians, singers and dancers American Anthems in association with Harley Davidson takes you on the coast to coast search for the mythical rock star ‘Rocky Rhodes’ to bring him back for one last concert at Madison Square Garden.
The show also features some of America’s greatest anthems by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Meatloaf, Elvis, Neil Diamond, Cher, Guns and Roses ….. Plus many, many more.
Ged and the cast of American Anthems will be joined on stage by John Parr who had a worldwide hit with St Elmo’s Fire.
Few musicians from England have made such an impact on America as John working with some of the biggest stars in show business, including Meatloaf, Heart, The Beach Boys, Celine Dion, Rob Lowe, Tina Turner as well as writing songs for films including ‘Three Men and a Baby’ ‘Running Man’ and ‘St. Elmo’s’ Fire’ John has recently toured with Bryan Adams. Richard Marks and Journey.
American Anthems will be at The Manchester Opera House on Sunday 12th February 2012 at 7.00pm Tickets are available now by phoning the box office on 0844 847 2295.
