Festival hoodie brings United the luck of the Irish in Champions League
Lawrence Hennigan is pictured here launching this years Manchester Irish Festival hoodie at Old Trafford. He unveiled the must have fashion garment just before United thrashed AC Milan 4-0.
He said about the launch "It certainly brought United good luck. Rooney said he wanted one when he spotted me in the crowd. David Beckham tried to swap his AC Milam shirt for it, but I said I would be only interested in his shirt if he played for Mayo."
The limited edition hoodie's and T-Shirts will be available at m19 bar, the Union and Hennigans Sports Bar in Levenshulme and The Farmers Arms in Burnage.
There is to be a prize for the best picture of somewhere wearing it in the most unusual place (send it to your Auntie in New York) and one for the most famous person modelling it (lets see if we can get the Prime Minister with it on), lets make the Manchester Irish Festival a global brand.
