Channel M TV at St Bedes College

Manchester’s TV station Channel M paid a visit to St Bede’s College to help launch this years 2010 Manchester Irish Festival, which is Europe’s biggest Irish Festival.

They filmed students from the College’s award winning ‘Young, Gifted & Green’ Irish Music and dance troupe who are performing a sell out gig for The Christie Cancer Hospital at Manchester Town Hall on Saturday 6 March.

Kevin Fitzpatrick the co-chair of the Manchester Irish Festival was also interviewed. When asked about his appearance on the TV station he said “I have been dealing with the media all day long, I had a breakfast interview on the BBC as soon as I woke up and Channel M have done this piece this afternoon. The film will be shown on the station’s news programme from 5pm til 7pm which is on Sky, all of my relatives in Ireland are going to tune in.”
