St. Patrick's Day non stop party
Saturday 17th March 2012
The Union Inn, Levenshulme
- Starts at 11:00 am
- Admission: Free
Come and join in for a St. Patrick's Day knees up with live Six nations England v Ireland shown on the big screens, plus premiership football followed by non-stop irish disco.
Everyone's Irish on St Patrick's day so make sure you wear something Green. A warm welcome awaits you in one of Manchester's friendliest Irish bars.
Traditional Irish Music session hosted by Guitarist and singer, Jack Badcock (Co. Kilkenny) and multi-instrumentalist, Ciaran Ryan (Brechin, Angus) are two of the younger but well known musicians on Edinburgh’s traditional music scene. Bring your instrument and join in the Craic, 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm, all musicians welcome.
Jack & Ciaran met while playing together in sessions round Edinburgh and soon formed a tight duo and became busy gigging regularly around Scotland. Stomp your feet to Ciaran’s expressive banjo playing accompanied by Jack’s syncopated, percussive guitar style. Close your eyes and listen to Jack’s emotional songs of love, war and social comment beautifully complimented by Ciaran’s fiddle and mandolin accompaniment.
