Manchester's Michael McGoldrick has taken his music worldwide and would figure on any list of music's greatest flute players. John McCusker, on fiddle, is sought after across the folkscene and beyond as a performer, producer & composer. John Doyle has pioneered an exceptional rhythmic guitar style, often copied but never equalled, which gives a unique percussive bedrock to the trio's sound. In traditional music, this line-up is, quite simply, the cream of the crop.
