Dave Allen's humour, outlook and life are brought to the stage in the world premiere of this play during the Manchester Irish Festival in the intimate Studio of the Royal Exchange. The comedian had a keen eye for the day to day idiocies, a gift for storytelling and a passion for the absurd.

This engaging one man performance explores the life and inimitable humour of a man acknowledged by many as the first alternative comedian. Performed by award winning actor Kieran Cunningham, (best known at the Royal Exchange for his performance as Brendan in the award winning show THE FLAGS) and co-written with BAFTA nominated Steven McNicholl (VELVET SOUP, LAUREL & HARDY, THE HOUSE), Dave Allen’s humour, outlook and his life are brought to the stage.
