St Patrick's Weekend Family Fun Fair

This family orientated weekend of Irish music, dance and fun fair rides in Levenshulme Village put on jointly by Manchester City Council Parks department and Mike Mulhern Funfairs to celebrate the closing weekend of the Manchester Irish Festival.

This special afternoon of traditional Irish music and dance is aimed at families who want to bring their children out to enjoy an afternoon of Irish Culture.

It is to help raise funds for the South Manchester Lourdes trip involving families from St Bernard’s, St Mary’s and St Kentigern’s Parishes. 

Special guest appearances from Irish duo James O’Connor and Audrey Trainor, plus Trad Irish group ‘Claus’ and ‘The Tim O’Connor band’. Guest musicians, singers and dancers are welcome to join in the afternoon.

Irish guitarist and singer ‘Tim O’Connor’ a former member of Celtic Rock band ‘Citizen Swing’ flies over from France to join in the St Patrick’s weekend celebrations. 

Tim will be launching his new trad single ‘Manchester Street’ that he recorded with the award winning fiddle player Dezi Donnelly. 

He is joined in the band by the award winning flautist Paul Daly from Roscommon and multi-instrumentalist the legendary Manchester Irish musician - Dave Thom.  

Support comes from Irish singer James O’Connor and fiddle player Audrey Trainor

It will be standing room only and people are invited to get in early if they want to get in. 

Irish club night with Tom Dee follows the live music til late.
