The final for this year’s hotly contested new bands competition attracted entries from all over the UK and Ireland. Up for grabs are over £500 worth of prizes which include three days recording time in Cutting room studios, the same studios used by ‘Oasis’ and £300 in cash.

The ‘Full Irish’ are inviting all of Manchester’s numerous ‘Irish session groups and musicians’ to come along and try and set a new UK record for the largest Irish session.

Presenters ‘Annette Carey’ and ‘Martin Logan’ will be recording the session live on the radio from 7pm-9pm and staying on to join in the party til late.

The session is already a massive hit on Youtube gaining over 6,000 hits. Guest Irish musicians are welcome with the traditional pint of the black stuff on hand to quench their first after playing in the session.
