Pete Durkin hosts the post St, Patrick’s Night Irish entertainment with a full on Irish session of traditional Irish music and craic. Guest musicians, singers and dancers are sure of an Irish welcome to join in the session.

Manchester brewery 'Boddingtons' is sponsoring the search for the cream of the UK and Irelands Irish Rock talent 'YGG Unsigned 2005'
This is the tenth anniversary of the event which has grown into one of the UK's biggest battle of the bands competitions for bands with Irish roots. In previous years the competition has attracted entries from as far away as Australia and Canada. Last years event was a complete sell out so get your tickets in advance or arrive early if you want to get in.
The aim of the event is to provide a showcase for unsigned acts with Irish roots and to give them a helping hand on their way to stardom. Six finalists have made it through the hotly contested heats in their bid for £1,500 worth of prizes like last years winners 'The Hustle'
Dry Riser
A South Manchester based band whose influences include Neil Young, Frank Black and The Band. Just formed over twelve months ago but already attracting a buzz in Manchester and London.
Minusoneraver
Minusoneraver formed in the spring of 2001. Since then their explosion onto the Manchester unsigned scene has been unprecedented. With a string of packed live gigs, radio performances and now the imminent release of their first EP, minusoneraver look set to have an exciting future.

Skyline
Skyline was formed about nine years ago and band now consists of John Cockburn - Lead Guitar, Jonny McGarthy - bass and lead vocals, Kim Brunt - drums and Martin Blackburn who recently joined the band in November as the rhythm guitarist. Skyline are influenced by John Lennon, Todd Rundgren and any Manchester Music from the 90's.
Soul City Exile
Originally formed in 1997 the current line up consists of Lee Shields (vocals), Jeff Wood (bass/backing vocals), Paul Cantrell (guitar), Phil Wood (guitar) and Kieron Duncan (drums). The bands overall sound includes Rock, Blues and Soul, With constant gigging the band were nominated as one of the top five bands in Manchester at the KEY 103 Manchester Music Awards. Other nominees included Oasis, Elbow, Badly Drawn Boy and Haven.
The High
The High was formed in sunny Rochdale by Ryan and Pete in early 2002 The band was frustrated by the local scene's lack of energy. They got together to enjoy their music and get simple Rock n Roll back onto airwaves once more. Two years on with gigs under their belt at last they are still having a laugh and making good music along the way. RnR lives forever.
Virtuoso
Virtuoso were formed 5 years ago & are now beginning to build up a loyal following playing the Manchester circuit. Influenced by Joy Division, The Stone Roses, The Smiths & the Doves.
The band have recently supported the Ordinary Boys at
the Witchwood on their NME tour & Puressence at Wolverhampton Civic
Hall this August.
