This special concert for the Manchester Irish Festival is to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the UK's longest running Irish Radio show 'The Parlour' which has been broadcasting on BBC GMR for the last twenty years. The award winning 'Young, Gifted & Green' are celebrating their own tenth anniversary with special concert which will feature some very special guests.

The two and half hour traditional Irish Music and dance show will be compered by Alan Keegan and the rest of the 'Parlour Team' from BBC GMR.

YGG have built a legendary status with their sell-out shows at places like the 2,000 capacity Bridgewater Hall and Manchester Town Hall. They have appeared on numerous TV shows from Blue Peter to Songs of Praise, as well as being featured in the Granada TV six-part Irish documentary, 'The Irish Connection' last year and have helped raise over £80,000 for various charities. One of its former principal dancers is the three times world champion 'James Keegan' the current principal of the world famous 'Lord of the Dance' show.
