Welcome to the ninth Manchester Irish Festival, a celebration of all things Irish. The Festival was established in 1996 and has got bigger and bigger.

This year’s Festival brings together internationally renowned performers, exciting new musical talent, workshops, ceilidhs and comedians from across the Irish Community. The festival is delighted this year to bring together people from all ages in many venues across the city. There is something for everyone at the Manchester Irish Festival.

Come down and enjoy the largest St Patrick's Parade in the UK and one of the largest in the world, which this year takes place on Sunday 14th March. It will be leaving the Irish World Heritage Centre, on Queens Rd, Cheetham Hill at 12 noon taking its traditional route to Albert Square, before returning to the Irish World Heritage Centre by the same route.

This year we are honoured that the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern TD will be attending and overseeing this year's parade, the first time ever that an Irish Premier has joined us for the parade.

The parade committee would like to express special thanks to those who have sponsored the parade with a special mention to Tommy McKenna of R & M Developments who's contribution has ensured that we are able to continue to bring bands over from Ireland.
