Launch The great hall at Manchester Town Hall was full to capacity when John Hulme performed the 'grand opening' of the 2003 Manchester Irish Festival.
John Hulme is pictured here centre with the joint chairpersons of the Manchester Irish Festival Committee, Esther Dolan and Councillor John Flanagan, both of course second generation Irish.
John Hulme is pictured here singing with the children of the St John's Junior School Choir who performed at the opening. They sang John's favourite song written by Phil Coulter 'The Town I Loved So Well' which is of course all about his native town of Derry.
Members of the Cullain Irish Folk Rock band entertain in the grand hall in the Manchester Town Hall.
