The Manchester Irish Festival

The Manchester Irish Festival 2003
8th - 18th March 2003

Irish Craft and Gift Market

Thursday 13th / Friday 14th / Saturday 15th / Sunday 16th March
Albert Square
11.00am-7.00pm
11.00am-4.00pm (Sunday)

One of the busiest and most popular features of the Festival, the craft and gift market is back, even bigger than ever before, bringing a lively Irish atmosphere to the streets of Manchester.

For 4 days, Albert Square comes alive with the banter and bustle of the Irish Festival market. Small traders will be crossing the water to offer a wide range of handicrafts, delicious food and all manner of treats. Look out for the soda bread and traditional cakes, farmhouse preserves, cheeses, pottery, silver jewellery, giftware, candles, books, music, pictures and much more.

This year sees the first “Budweiser Irish Festival Beer Tent”, serving a selection of Irish drinks, and playing host to live bands. Any money raised from the beer tent will go towards future Irish Festivals in the city. If you need a shamrock for the parade, a wooden egg or an all Ireland tea cloth, this is the place to come!
