St. Patrick's Day Parade

Sunday 17th MarchManchester Irish Festival Parade
This year's St. Patrick's Day Parade will be an extra special one, as it takes place on the big day itself. With over 60 floats plus ponies and traps and Irish wolfhounds, the parade will be the biggest the city has ever seen.

Brass bands, samba drums, pipes, flutes and fiddles will ring in St. Patrick's Day, as every county association and cultural group in Manchester comes out to celebrate the day.

The parade will leave the Irish World Heritage Centre on Queens Road at 12 noon. From here it will turn left onto Cheetham Hill Road and proceed into the city centre, turning right into Corporation Street, along into Cross Street before arriving at Albert Square.

The Lord Mayor will then greet the parade at the Town Hall steps at 1.00pm. From here the parade will take the same route back to the Irish World Heritage Centre.
