Irish Community Care

Irish Community Care is a voluntary organisation which aims to promote the welfare of the Irish community in Manchester and its surrounding districts. Advice and information is available on:

Volunteers from the Irish Community Care Reminiscence Project have been recording stories of the newly established Irish Men's Group in East Manchester. Capturing a variety of their memories and experiences of migration, employment and social conditions from the early 1950s onwards, this exhibition documents their thoughts and feelings in a sensitive and moving presentation.
